Does EyeTV Hybrid replace a satellite receiver?
Solution EyeTV Hybrid does not replace a satellite receiver. If you need a satellite receiver to see content when using a regular TV, then you will also need to use that satellite receiver with EyeTV Hybrid.

A DirecTV, Dish Network or Sky device are some examples of a satellite receiver.

If you have a satellite receiver, connect the analog outputs of that satellite receiver (like composite or S-Video) to EyeTV Hybrid. Then, change channels manually using the satellite receiver's remote.

You can also use the analog tuner input from your satellite receiver. Connect that to EyeTV Hybrid, switch it to analog mode, then Auto Tune using "Antenna". You will most likely find the satellite receiver's signal on channel 3 or 4. Then, change channels manually using the satellite receiver's remote.

EyeTV Hybrid (and other EyeTV products) cannot directly tune satellite receivers at this time.
