How many channels does EyeTV 250 Plus get?
Solution
EyeTV 250 Plus's tuner supports a frequency range from approximately 43 to 855 MHz for analog signals. In the United States, this corresponds to terrestrial channels 2 through 69 and cable channels 2 through 125.
EyeTV 250 Plus can also receive digital channels using the ATSC (North America) or DVB-T (International) standards. The number of channels that can be received depends on your particular location.
There are two separate EyeTV 250 Plus hardware versions - one is for NTSC plus ATSC (North America), and one is for PAL/SECAM and DVB-T (International). There is not one unit that will receive all signals all over the world - the hardware is region specific.
If you attach a cable box or satellite receiver to EyeTV 250 Plus, you can receive additional channels, up to the limits of that external receiver.
EyeTV 250 Plus (2007 model) cannot receive HDTV from a cable box or satellite receiver.
EyeTV 250 Plus (2008 model) can receive Clear QAM signals (unencrypted digital cable) directly from a cable line - that may provide some HDTV channels.
HDTV signals are available via ATSC in many areas; HDTV via DVB-T is fully supported in EyeTV 3.0.2 software.
