Occasionally, the record of connected volumes in OS X can become
corrupted, causing problems with EyeHome. Aliases or symbolic links to
content on external drives won’t function properly.
To repair this, first go to the Finder. In the Go menu, select Go To Folder. Type in:
/Volumes
You should see small links to connected volumes. Do you see any
duplicates? If so, then remove them, and restart your Mac, then try
EyeHome again. That should resolve any issues with aliases or symbolic
links.
