Hardware Support

Support has been added for the following Elgato TV tuners, available in Europe, Asia, and Australia:
  • EyeTV Diversity (2008), a dual-tuner DVB-T USB stick with Antenna Diversity.
  • EyeTV for DTT (2008), a DVB-T USB stick.
  • EyeTV Hybrid (2008), a USB stick that supports DVB-T, DVB-C, PAL/SECAM analog television, and FM Radio.

 

Support has been added for the following Hauppauge TV tuner, available in North America:

  • Hauppauge HVR-950Q, a USB stick that supports ATSC digital television, Clear QAM unencrypted digital cable television, and NTSC analog television.

 

FM Radio Support for EyeTV Hybrid (International 2008 Version)

The new European EyeTV Hybrid (2008) that is available in Europe, Asia, and Australia now supports FM Radio with RDS (Radio Data System). When available from the broadcaster, the station name and the name of the currently playing song is displayed in EyeTV’s player window:

On Screen Menu to Delete Recording After Playback

EyeTV 3.0.3 has a new On Screen Menu that prompts you to keep or delete a recording after playback is complete.

Mark Recordings as Watched/Unwatched

EyeTV now has a contextual menu to flag a recording as "Watched" or "Unwatched". Select the recording, then choose the appropriate option from the action or contextual menus. A filter for Watched recordings has also been added to the Smart Playlist.

Deleting Channels

Channels can now be deleted from within the EyeTV Channels list. Simply select the channel to be removed and press the delete key. "Delete Channels" can also be selected from the Contextual and Action Menus.

SiliconDust HDHomeRun

EyeTV 3.0.3 includes the 20080427 release of HDHomeRun firmware. To update the HDHomeRun, open EyeTV’s Preferences dialog and go to the Devices section, then to the Info tab. If a firmware update is necessary, the "Update…" button will be displayed.


EyeTV 3.0.3 is a Universal application. It requires a Macintosh computer with built-in USB 2.0 ports, and Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later.

We recommend Mac OS X 10.5.4 Leopard with all software and security updates installed.
