EyeTV Hybrid: Turn off Timeshift to play video games with minimal delay
Solution EyeTV Hybrid, and other products that offer uncompressed analog video, can use a feature called "Timeshift" to create a Live TV Buffer.

That buffer allows you to pause and manipulate Live TV. It also creates a delay of over a second for live signals. This lag means that a change to the signal will take some time for EyeTV to display.

If you are playing video games, using the Xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, or other consoles, then you should turn off the Timeshift feature, in the EyeTV Preferences > Devices > Analog > Encoding section.

When Timeshift is not enabled, you will have a very small delay of a few milliseconds, which is good for gameplay.
