HDHomeRun and the Mac OS X Firewall
Solution
To make the HDHomeRun work with the Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6 Firewall, you’ll need to add the EyeTV application Firewall’s list of applications and services that are allowed network access.
The OS X 10.5 Firewall is accessible in the
System Preferences
, in the
Security
section.
When using OS X 10.4, you will need to manually open up port 2170, so the HDHomeRun can communicate with your Mac.

System Preferences
, in the
Sharing
section.
