Connections
When you first want to use the HD PVR with EyeTV, you should run through the
EyeTV Setup Assistant, available from the
EyeTV menu.
The HD PVR connects to a Mac via an USB 2.0 port.
It has composite, S-Video and component inputs for video.
It has stereo (red and white) and S/PDIF inputs for audio.
For best audio and video, you can use the component video inputs (for HD content) and S/PDIF (for Dolby audio).
Choose the inputs you want to use, and then you can also choose other options, including whether the blue light that circles the unit will be on, or off.
The HD PVR also has passthrough outputs for composite and component
signals. So, you could connect a TV set to the HD PVR, and then view
the signal simultaneously via EyeTV on your Mac, and via the TV set.
