Solution EyeTV HD requires both a video and audio source to work.  You can use the following steps to record a file with your preferred audio track, and then separate that audio track for use elsewhere.

1) Connect any video source, be it Composite, Component or S-Video.  Then, select that input from the Controls menu in EyeTV.

2) Connect stereo audio cables (RCA cables, red and white) from your preferred source.

3) Record, and you will get a file with an unwanted video track, and your wanted audio track.

4) Find and highlight your recording in the Recordings section of the EyeTV Programs window. 

5) Then select Export from the File menu, and choose Show All Formats.

6) Select "for iTunes" as your export option.

7) EyeTV will send the audio track to iTunes as a new audio file, in the AAC format.
