EyeTV HD can record up to full HD resolution, referred to as 1080i.

A Component video connection can transmit 1080i, but will often have difficulty with 1080p.  Therefore, EyeTV HD will not receive a signal from a 1080p source.

EyeTV HD cannot upscale video - video is recorded in the original resolution, or at a smaller resolution for the iPad or iPhone.
