The "No Codec" or "Unsupported Video Format" error can happen when Tivizen
receives video that it can't play back. A codec is a compression
and decompression standard used to prepare the video for use, like
MPEG-2.
Tivizen has the ability to play video in MPEG-2
standard definition format. It cannot play H.264.
If you think the channel you are trying to receive
should be broadcasting in MPEG-2 standard definition, please try the
following steps:
The Tivizen software may need to be reset
Solution: Quit the Tivizen software, then open it again.
The Tivizen software may need to be updated
Solution: Open the App Store to see if there is an update. If there is, install the update, then reopen Tivizen.
Scan for channels again
Solution: Visit the
Settings section in the Tivizen software. Then, select Channels >
Scan Channels. Confirm your country, and press the Scan button to scan
for channels. This will let you acquire the correct channel list.
One or more channels may be using a new or unsupported codec
Solution: Visit other
channels, and find out which ones have the error message. Please note
the names and frequencies of the problematic channels, as Elgato
Technical Support will need to know them to fully diagnose the problem.
