EyeTV for iOS
can connect your
iPhone, iPad
or
iPod touch
to an
EyeTV Netstream Sat
or
EyeTV Netstream DTT
in a few ways.
Direct connection from EyeTV for iOS to EyeTV Netstream
After you download
EyeTV for iOS
from the
iTunes Store
, it is automatically ready to detect any
EyeTV Netstream
device that's on your local network.
It doesn't matter if you have
Macs
using
OS X
, or
PCs
using
Windows 7
- the connection will go directly from the
EyeTV Netstream
to
EyeTV for iOS
.
Please Note:
When connected directly to
EyeTV Netstream
,
EyeTV for iOS
will only be able to play back
MPEG-2
video in
SDTV
format. It will not be able to play
MPEG-4
or
H.264
, or any
HDTV
content.
EyeTV Netstream DTT
always needs to be set up at least once with
OS X
or
Windows 7
, to
Auto Tune
or
Scan
for channels.
EyeTV Netstream Sat
can download a channel list by itself, so it's not required that you use
OS X
or
Windows 7
to
Auto Tune
or
Scan
for channels. However, you may want to do so if the downloaded list is incomplete.

EyeTV for OS X
can send video to
EyeTV for iOS
. That video can come from any
EyeTV 3
compatible hardware, including
EyeTV Netstream
.
Please Note:
