EyeTV HD and EyeTV 3.5.2 Update - problems with 480i iPad quality video
Solution
EyeTV 3.5.2
(6633) appears to have a rare issue with some
EyeTV HD
setups.
Problem with 480i iPad quality video
In particular, if all of the following are true, then
EyeTV HD
may not be able to receive video.
• The video input is
480i
• In the
EyeTV Preferences > Devices
, the
Encoding
setting is for
iPad
In this particular case,
EyeTV HD
may try to switch to
PAL
or
NTSC
video, instead displaying the proper content.
Or, it may display messages like
"No Signal"
or
"One moment please..."
, or a distorted video image.
Workarounds and Solutions
UPDATE May 6, 2011:
EyeTV 3.5.2
has been updated to resolve this problem.
While
EyeTV 3
is running, please open this link in a web browser:
eyetv://checkforupdates?build=6635
That will download
EyeTV 3.5.2
(build 6635), which does not have this issue.
