What Elgato software works with OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)?
Solution  OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) was released on July 25, 2012.

Elgato has been testing Developer Preview versions of OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) for the past few months.

After using the final version of OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), we have found a few issues in the following software:

Elgato Game Capture HD (update posted below)
EyeTV
Turbo.264 HD (update posted below)

Please see the sections below for more details

Elgato Software That Does Not Yet Fully Support OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

Some current builds of Elgato software have some problems with
OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion):

EyeTV 3.5.5 (sharing issues)

EyeTV has limited issues in the area of Sharing.  Specifically:

• The Sharing and iPhone Preferences may not render correctly, even though Sharing is on and working.
• Accessing EyeTV content via Safari 6.0 may not work as expected - update to Safari 6.0.1 or later.

Under OS X 10.8, when you turn on Sharing in the EyeTV Preferences, the checkbox will not change, even though Sharing is now on.  Restarting EyeTV will resolve this cosmetic issue - the checkbox will appear correctly after a restart.  Once you turn Sharing on, it will stay on - you don't have to adjust the Preferences again.

The next version of EyeTV should take care of this cosmetic issue.

If these features are essential for you, then please put off updating to OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) until the next EyeTV update is ready.

Testing Is Still Needed With Final OS X 10.8 Version

We will still need a few days of testing to certify our software with the release version of
OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

Therefore, if using Elgato software is essential to you, you may want to wait a few days before you upgrade to
OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), so we can complete our testing.

Once that testing is done, then this article will be updated with the latest information.

Since new updates will be needed for some of our software, we will post links to those updates in this article.

We apologize for any inconvenience this transition to OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) has caused.  We appreciate your patience while these software issues are resolved.
