Why can't I play iTunes Music Store downloads with EyeHome?
Solution
Currently, EyeHome cannot play iTunes Music Store tracks. That is true for all other products not made by Apple. Apple will not allow 3rd parties to play iTMS tracks, even if it is technically possible. Apple will not support this, due to a lack of desire to share their FairPlay DRM. EyeHome hides any .m4p files you may have in your Library so there will be no confusion about the lack of playback. Until Apple opens up their DRM, your only choices to play those files are iTunes, iPod, and AirPort Express. Or, you can translate them from the .m4p format into another one, like AIFF, WAV, MP3, or unencrypted AAC.
